Jeffrey A. Gonnason
Jeffrey A. Gonnason, O.D. owns Medical Park Eye Care in Anchorage. A doctor of optometry, Gonnason has treated patients in both the villages and Anchorage for 30 years.
Gonnason earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1975 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1976, both from Pacific University. He is a former director of Cook Inlet Native Association and Cook Inlet Properties Inc. Gonnason was a founding director of The CIRI Foundation in 1982, and served as chair and vice chair of that Board.
Gonnason is the Legislative Keyperson and former Legislative Chair of the Alaska Optometric Association. He is a former president of the Alaska Optometric Physicians Association, and is currently a member of the Alaska State Board of Examiners in Optometry. Gonnason was elected to the CIRI Board of Directors in 2006. His three-year term on the Board finishes in 2009.
