Louis "Lou" nagy Jr.
Louis "Lou" Nagy Jr. is a professor of Aviation Maintenance Technology at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Nagy is Yup'ik, originally from Seldovia.
Nagy earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, cum laude, from Anchorage Community College in 1980. He also earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Technology, cum laude, from UAA in 1990, a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, cum laude, from UAA in 1997 and a Master of Science degree in Vocational Education, Phi Kappa Phi honors, from UAA in 2003.
Nagy is a member of the Board of Directors of Seldovia Native Association Inc. He is a former vice president and current director of Seldovia Native Association Foundation. Nagy serves as a director of the Northshore Condo Association, a Volunteer Safety Councilor for the Federal Aviation Administration and a Senator of Academic Governance for UAA.
Nagy was elected to CIRI's Board of Directors in 2006, and will conclude his three-year term in 2009.
